Dr. Jim Hackworth, originally from Oklahoma, graduated from Oklahoma State University in 1982.  After serving in the U.S. Army as a veterinarian he and his family moved to Pulaski county. 

 

Dr. Hackworth is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, the Missouri Veterinary Medical Association, The East Central Missouri Veterinary Medical Association, The American Animal Hospital Association, The American Association of Feline Practicioners, The International Academy of Veterinary Pain Management, The Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care Society, the Veterinary Information Network, and the Missouri Academy of Veterinary Practicioners.

Dr Hackworth and his wife have four daughters and 2 & 1/2 grandchildren.  His pets include two dogs and three cats.  He also has three granddogs and one grandcat.
